Subtle = chhota farak. Past guess (andaza): must have / can't have + V3. Regret: should have. Waste vs optional: needn't have / didn't have to. Present may / must / have to = 45. Hedge tone = 71. Future mix = I7.

1. Kya hai

45 = abhi / rule / shayad. Yahan = pehle kya hua ka chhota farak. Form: modal + have + V3, not must had / must have went.

will + base (typical) annoying aadat abhi. Future mix = I7. Purani aadat = 48 He will leave the tap on after chai.

If I had known, I would have called = 54, yahan nahi. perhaps / tend to claim naram = 71, yahan nahi.

Hindi note. Lagta hai pehle hua = must have + V3. Impossible pehle = can't have. Kaash kiya hota = should have. Kiya magar waste = needn't have. Kal ka rule = had to, guess nahi.
